About Chris
I've sat where you're sitting.
"The thing behind the thing" is rarely what it looks like on the surface. That's true of every leadership challenge. And it's true of every leader.

From consultant, to founder, to coach.
I spent years working inside organisations as an independent consultant, with leadership teams, alongside them and sometimes despite them.
I saw the same things repeatedly. People going round in circles. Leaders promoted because it was the next step, not because they were ready. Teams blamed for problems that started at the top. Capable people not hitting anywhere near their potential because of the environment they were operating in.
The difference wasn't capability. It was always self-awareness. The leaders who knew how they showed up changed everything around them. The ones who didn't, have a much harder time achieving their goals.
Midway through those years I founded, ran and exited my own business, then returned to operating. That experience taught me things I didn't learn in corporate roles. How to assess options quickly and act with speed when the pressure is real and everything is at stake. How to lead others while managing yourself and thrive rather than just survive. One thing became clearer than anything else, relationships are the differentiator. Not process. Not strategy. People.

I became aware of how contagious my energy was when I was operating from a reactive place, and the people around me felt it. When I was clear and grounded, everything changed, how I showed up, how people responded to me, the clarity I had around what I was doing and why. My connections with people deepened. The outcomes improved. And I could see the impact rippling outward in a way I hadn't noticed before.
That awareness changed how I led. And eventually, it changed everything.
