LEGO® Serious Play® Labs

Team workshops that help you think better, talk honestly, and move forward.

This is more than building with bricks. It's a smarter way to connect and solve problems together.

LEGO® Serious Play® labs are hands on, high trust engagement sessions that get valuable outcomes in a creative way.

Using the research backed facilitation method of LEGO® Serious Play®, I facilitate teams to work through challenges by building, sharing and reflecting with LEGO. It sounds simple, but it transforms the conversation.

In most meetings, the loudest voice wins. But in my LEGO® Serious Play® labs, everyone builds. This means that everyone contributes and hierarchy is flattened. Allowing for better ideas to be raised, and more honest conversations to unfold.

It's a practical, fast, and incredibly effective way for getting teams to open their mind, get unstuck and re-energised.

Before we run a Lab, teams often tell me:

  • Its usually the most senior person in the room doing the talking and setting the direction

  • Meetings get political and personal.

  • We talk about abstract ideas and concepts that can be difficult to understand and follow.

  • We don’t communicate well, and people with good ideas and inputs don’t always get heard

  • We have a neuro diverse team and we don’t know how to engage them

  • We don’t have enough collaboration in the team because of a lack of trust

A LEGO® Serious Play® Lab gives you the clarity, energy, and engagement to get to the outcomes.

Real life transformations

We asked Safinity to run a workshop for our teachers and mentors as part of our start-of-year training. With so many new staff joining, and teams spread out across the UK, we needed something that would help people connect quickly, feel part of a team, and start the year on the same page.

The sessions were really engaging. Everyone was involved from the start, and the LEGO Serious Play approach gave people a different way of sharing their strengths and ideas. What stood out was how quickly staff who had barely met before opened up, talked about what they bring to the team, and began to find common ground.

By the end of each session, every team had built a shared model of what their “ideal team environment” should look like. This sparked useful discussions about what success means for them and how they can support each other, especially when working remotely.

The feedback from staff has been very positive. They came away knowing more about their colleagues, clearer on their team identity, and more confident about working together. It was a high-output, energising start to the year, and we’ve got something tangible to refer back to as the term unfolds

EK Outreach Services

"The planning and research Chris put into our workshop is second to none. From our very first call, Chris took the time to understand our business, our people, our values and our goals, helping us to build a future-proof workshop that engaged the whole team and provided a fun activity with an opportunity to learn more about ourselves and each other."

JGA Recruitment Group

"Myself and my two co founders came to Chris to reflect on the first year of building Una, with the aim of assessing how we worked together, a review of the key projects and an overall assessment of how we performed. Chris ran two brilliant workshops with us, expertly facilitating enabling us to get to the core of the issues that mattered, and crucially, helping us line up a clear list of priorities to focus on. It was not only a really fun process, but we all feel more confident in setting ourselves up for the best possible chance of success."

Facilitated to create real outcomes

  • Define what you are exploring and solving.

  • Use LEGO to surface ideas, thoughts, and possibilities. Then the creativity and divergent thinking happens.

  • Using metaphors and story telling, sharing leads to individual and group reflection.

  • Need notes, visuals, or next steps captured? We’ll make sure the work lives on beyond the session.

What makes this work different when you do it with me?

  • I don’t do tick-the-box workshops. This work gets under the surface and delivers real outcomes in an engaging way.
