    Was an absolute pleasure designing and delivering these workshops with EK Outreach Services to support their growth journey Truly the most caring and inspiring tutors and mentors - so to design team building and team vision workshops for them delivered to over 80 people in multiple smaller groups was an absolute pleasure! There was alot of laughter in these groups!   • Playing with LEGO is a job....

    Mate, grow up, playing with LEGO isn't a job… Below is pretty much a chat I had with someone about LEGO® Serious Play® the other day when I told them what I did for work, here's how it went So what do you do? take LEGO to companies and play? No 😁 I facilitate sessions using LEGO® Serious Play® as a tool to enhance communication, creativity, and collaboration among teams and people. Isn't LEGO just for kids? No. LSP is used by adults in lot of professional settings, proving it's a valuable tool for really engaging workshops and meetings Does anyone actually take this stuff seriously? So many companies use LSP regularly, and its value is being more and widely recognized across industries. So, you get there and just make models all day long? No, LSP involves much more. It's about using the models as a way to abstract the thinking on the topic  to facilitate deeper understanding, communication, and problem-solving. How does it work? You make models then what? There's a bit more to it than that -  its a structured process that includes: CHALLENGE: Question or challenge to build to, BUILD: You build it using the LEGO SHARE: Share the meaning of your model, focusing on using metaphors REFLECT: Reflect on what you've built and its meaning in the context So what do you build? Anything and Everything, and you can build in different ways for different reasons/outcomes, from individual builds to shared or system builds, each serving unique purposes. Like what would you use it for? LSP can be used for meetings, workshops, team building, 1 to 1 conversations, problem solving, facilitation, planning, testing out potential scenarios, innovation, and much more. It is a versatile communication tool. What if you're not the creative type? You don’t need to be the creative type to participate. It's not a LEGO building competition but a method to unlock new ways of thinking. Does LEGO know you're doing this? Yes, LEGO® Serious Play® has been open source since 2010, and I operate within the community guidelines. Do you work for LEGO? No, I do not work for LEGO sadly, but I am a facilitator of the LSP method. Do you think you will be doing a lot of it? Yeah, I have been for the last 9 months, and it really works well with the other work I do, with the Agility / Continuous Improvement Consulting  and 1 to 1 coaching. It's a brilliant addition to the tools and approaches I can offer to clients. Sounds like it's just for creative companies? Not at all. It’s about the mindset, not the industry. I've delivered workshops in tech, education, banking, startup accelerators, hospitality, health tech, global food companies, recruitment, creative agencies, financial services, and more.   • Masters students mastering LEGO Serious Play

    Well Friday was a bucket list tick ✅ 1) Co Facilitating a lecture alongside Kent Valentine - watching him in full flow is indeed a treat 2)Delivering a LEGO Serious Play workshop as a lecture to 28 Masters students at University of the Arts London Communication School The students got creative with LSP using it explore different approaches to building a brief for their approach to creating a valuable strategy for a Digital Marketing client 3 hours 28 people 19 countries represented in the room 1 on the fly decision to tweak an exercise to deliver more value to the students 60+ models built individually, shared and reflected on 100s of metaphors used to explain the models 5 shared models built with a strong story and shared to the wider group Thanks University of Arts London for having us, cant wait to do it again!
